In 2018, Billy has been as active as ever as co-chair of Spectrum. As a vocal trans ally he campaigned and lobbied ministers and MPs from Greece over a long period both in their visits to Europe and by going to Athens himself. As a result, the Greek Government tabled a motion for a new law which ended the mandatory sterilisation requirement and enabled transgender people to affirm their desired gender identity, as well as allow same sex couples to foster. He has continued his political activism on LGBT+ rights by also lobbying politicians and ambassadors from countries with less friendly LGBT legal statutes, including arranging and speaking to an Ambassadors’ gathering in Vienna. Additionally he has worked with many Universities include Oxford University and enabled them to set up their LGBT societies and support groups. He is a regular speaker on D&I, and continued to build upon the success of his first Trans focused apprenticeship scheme at Barclays by exporting the model to other firms. Externally, Billy is invited to speak to various industry forums and conferences. He has consistently used those events as opportunities to discuss how diversity and inclusion isn’t just a “nice thing to do” but is a business and economic imperative.

As Dow’s LGBTQ+ and allies Employee Resource Group (ERG) regional leader in Latin America, Alberto Pino’s areas of focus for LGBTQ+ inclusion are: Innovation, Inspiration and Implementation. He united more than 30 companies and more than 2,200 participants in Mexico City for Pride Connection where people gathered to discuss best practices in corporate inclusion initiatives. He is a recognized speaker to detonate the inclusion conversation in the region, and has participated on Walmart´s commercial kick off in Latin America, O&E Philadelphia, and Bank of America´s Pride Celebration. Alberto has appeared in television and radio shows talking about LGBTQ+ in the workplace. Alberto has impacted children’s education in Mexico, and is sought after by other companies as a consultant to leverage best practices as they launch new ERGs.

Jo is Chair of Virgin Money’s Affinity Group and Co-Chair of their Affinity Pride Network. She has shared her personal story of being bisexual on Virgin Money’s “Being Our True-selves at Work” internal hub, and has hosted and spoken at number of LGBT+ events both internally and externally. Most recently Jo was keynote speaker at Stonewall’s Annual LGBT Conference in Manchester, she also chaired the BFI’s LGBT in the Workplace Summit in London. Jo was instrumental in the delivery of Virgin Money’s LGBT+ rainbow credit card, through which £100,000 will be donated to Stonewall. Jo also led Virgin Money’s Stonewall Workplace Equality Index submission, resulting in a jump of over 200 places from the prior year to secure a spot in the Top 100, a representation of much of the work Jo has done to drive equality in Virgin Money. This year Jo received external recognition, being shortlisted in the DIVA Awards and winning the Diversity Champion award at the British LGBT Awards.

Winner of the 2017 Community Business LGBT+ Inclusion Champion Award, Wally is driven by values of equality, social justice and inclusion. Born in Thailand, Wally was raised and educated in the United States, and resides in Hong Kong, where he is a Vice President in the Legal and Compliance Division at Morgan Stanley. On the steering committees of Morgan Stanley’s Asia Pride and Allies Network and the Legal and Compliance Division’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, he developed the ‘Law in Transition’ speaker series to highlight the legal status and development of LGBT+ rights across Asia, and represents Morgan Stanley on the LGBT+ Interbank Forum. Externally, Wally co-founded the Hong Kong Gay and Lesbian Attorneys Network (HKGALA), impressively grown to 700+ individual members and 50+ supporting firms. Wally co-chairs HKGALA’s quarterly legal industry roundtable, and leads its pro bono sub-committee. Earlier this year, his role in connecting the finance and legal communities contributed to an unprecedented initiative by a group of 30+ financial institutions and law firms to submit an intervention petition to Hong Kong’s highest court in support of immigration rights for same-sex partners in the QT case, resulting in an important victory for gay rights in Hong Kong.

Anjeli is actively involved in various LGBT+ initiatives both within EY and externally. She was a speaker at EY’s student induction, talking about her experiences as a British Asian trans* woman at EY . She is the co-lead of the New Business Development and Partnerships Worksteam for EY’s LGBT Network, ‘Unity’. She is due to speak at Dundee University around the importance of inclusive practices in the workplace and at Universities, and has been a keynote speaker at the Stonewall Workplace Conference three times where she focused on some of the specific challenges that trans* individuals face within the Asian community and the importance of inclusive workplace practices. She was featured in a video for Stonewall prior to UK Black Pride talking about why she believes the LGBT community must stand together, and was filmed for a video by LB women for an upcoming conference. She was nominated for a Better Begins With You Award at EY (2018)
Vice President, Multi-Asset Strategies and Client Portfolio Solutions
When Robert joined BlackRock in 2015, he engaged with senior management to start the LGBT+ dialogue in Asia. After gaining sponsorship from senior executives by signing up 60% of the APAC Executive Committee as MD Allies, he co-founded the OUT & Allies network. The ERG has flourished across all 6 regional offices with strong engagement at all levels, and its success was recognized in the firm debuting #3 in its first participation in the LGBT inclusion Index in 2016. Ever since, Robert’s focus shifted outside of BlackRock: initially as member of the advisory board, and now as co-chair of the LGBT Interbank Forum. Here, the combined efforts of BlackRock and member firms contributed to scoring a major breakthrough of the landmark QT court case, which led to granting dependent visas to couples in recognized same-sex relationships in Hong Kong. In addition, Robert collaborated with local universities by hosting workshops explaining the business case of LGBT inclusion for corporates and in education. Last but not least, Robert is visible and outspoken leader on LGBT+ inclusion globally – which includes involvement in business networks, and speaking on panels and conferences. In this context, he was awarded the LGBT Champion Award in 2018.
Christina is Vice Chair of the Kier LGBT & Allies Network. She developed LGBT+ toolbox talks for sites over 2 years ago, and delivered them to groups of workers on site including at crossrail and Highways England reaching over 400 site operatives. Christina ran a bisexual visibility event at the Thames Barrier with the Environment Agency. Christina is on the Executive board of Building Equality, and the Chartered Institute of Building – Diversity Special Interest Group reporting to the president. She is the main organiser for Pride for the construction industry, organising the Rainbow JCB display , the symbol for diversity and inclusion in the industry. Finally, she is on the Student Pride Steer Committee.
Nathan is the Australia lead of Arcus, Clifford Chance’s LGBT+ & Allies network. He joined Clifford Chance in 2017 during Australia’s marriage equality debate and immediately advocated for a dedicated Australian chapter to address issues of LGBT+ diversity and inclusion. Since launching the Australia chapter, Nate has championed LGBT+ community events, hosted events discussing the importance of Allies and established an Allies network with more than 50% of the firm’s Australia-based workforce joining. Nate successfully campaigned for membership to Pride in Diversity – Australia’s Workplace Equality Index. He established a dedicated LGBT+ pro-bono practice acting for LGBT+ community organisations and raised funds for LGBT+ mental health organisation, Qlife. Nate advocates for LGBT+ diversity and inclusion in the mining/resource sector and champions collaboration between LGBT+ mining/resource networks. Nate was also invited to speak at the 2018 Australian Ally Conference and is actively involved in the ongoing regional momentum of the firm’s Arcus network.

Cat created and chaired the Procurement LGBT+ council at GSK, ensuring best practise globally when engaging with third parties on LGBT+ issues. They are secretariat of the Global LGBT+ council, where they work directly with the CEO of Consumer Healthcare on prioritising our LGBT+ work in priority countries. They have organised a variety of events, regularly presenting at roundtables on engaging with third parties and how to drive change in a corporate enterprise. Cat is a leader in the SPECTRUM employee resource group and was instrumental in progressing LGBT+ inclusion at GSK. Due to Cat’s dedication, GSK achieved 21st place in the 2018 Work Place Equality index published by Stonewall – up from 340th two years previously. Externally, Cat volunteered to coach and mentor trans and LGB groups in Asia and South America. Four years ago, Cat created the first LGBT+ campaign for students with Faith at Northumbria.

Krishna is a corporate lawyer in the London office of King & Spalding, where he is co-chair of the LGBT affinity group. Krishna was named Stonewall’s Gay Role Model of the Year in 2018 and invited to deliver the keynote address at the Stonewall annual workplace conference. He has also delivered talks on D&I to C-Suite leaders at Barclays, Airbus, and the FCA. Krishna has led on pro-bono work for several respected LGBT organisations and organised fundraising initiatives for LGBT charities, and has mentored junior LGBT+ lawyers. Since 2016, Krishna worked on the successful initiative to decriminalise same-sex relation in India, collaborating with leading counsel and the petitioners in the case.
Brendan has lead Linkedin LGBT+ employee resource group for 4 years, 2 of which leading Dublin and in the last two years leading Europe. Brendan has grown Dublin Pride for Linkedin from 50 in 2015 to 900+ in 2018, and has worked with Trans Equality Network Ireland to host an internal session on “Trans 101” to educate Linkedin employees on challenges faced by this group. Brendan has worked extensively with Gay Switchboard Ireland, funding and heavily supporting their Pride Fundraiser event: “Post Marriage Equality: A State of Mind” in order to raise funds for this charity lead service.

Daniel’s primary driver is creating this environment for all, and to achieve this he co-designed and co-leads BofAML’s award winning global Ally Program and also co-led our LGBT+ Pride group for over 4 years. He leads by example, inspiring others, and role modelling. He mentor/reverse mentors int/ext employees and senior managers ensuring inclusion is recognised. He regularly sits on panels, consults with clients & vendors providing recommendations around best practice of global ally programs, creating global connectivity, and works tirelessly to raise awareness and champion LGBT+ issues. In 2015, he was instrumental in advising on the roll-out of the company’s transgender benefits for gender reassignment as part of BofAML’s UK benefits package. Externally, Daniel sits on the Interbank LGBT Council which he has co-led three times over 10 years. His Interbank role allows him to foster collaboration, connect companies and mentor other organizations on their journeys to more inclusive workplace cultures.

Anthony is a Co-Chair for Standard Chartered’s Americas LGBT+ and Allies Network, where he drives their internal communications and activities. He advises and counsels colleagues across the Bank’s global footprint on issues including coming out and international mobility within the Bank. He has also led two globally broadcast trainings about LGBT+ workplace inclusion, and was profiled in internal publications to celebrate IDAHOBIT. Anthony led the Bank to register and march for the first time in the NYC Pride Parade. Anthony also leads Standard Chartered’s annual donation drives to homeless LGBT+ youth shelters in NYC, including Trinity Place and Ali Forney, and volunteers to serve meals to health-impaired individuals through CityMeals, GMHC, and God’s Love We Deliver.

Sue leads optimisation and growth for Barclays UK Debit Cards. She is Co-Chair of Spectrum, Barclays’ LGBTQ+ network, promoting diversity & inclusion for maximum impact with colleagues, companies, suppliers, and charities. She is a trustee with LGBTQ+ charities: Ditch the Label; and ELOP, an advisor to the Terrence Higgins Trust Finance & Risk Committee, and mentors for OUTstanding and LBWomen. This year alone, Sue was instrumental in Barclays UK offering healthcare benefits to financially support medical transitioning for trans colleagues and proactively pioneering best-practice guidelines to help colleagues who transition supporting them through the process in the workplace. Sue marshalled the adding of MX title on customer and colleague systems, and is working to enhance further all service interactions with Barclays for trans customers. Through Sue’s energy and commitment to LGBTQ+ community – Barclays has this year participated in 22 Prides, with over 3000 Barclays colleagues engaged and seen by over 2 million people. Sue was awarded Barclays Global Woman of the Year at end 2017 for her dedication to LGBTQ+ community for which she is a visibly out role model.

Mark is President of Outforce EMEA, Salesforce’s LGBTQ employee network and was instrumental in increasing global membership to over 4,000 in 27 countries. He has led Salesforce’s biggest EMEA pride execution in 11 countries, hosted panels for World Aids Day, organised events for Pride month, and hosted OutInTech to run a charity event with Sophie Ellis Bextor. In the past year, Mark has formed key Salesforce partnerships with numerous LGBTQ charities, led programmes to raise over £50k and completed a Salesforce leadership programme for the top talent in the company. He is also a founder of the company’s UK Equality Council, which trains managers on diversity & inclusion. Mark spoke at the world’s largest LGBTQ workplace conference, Out & Equal, in October, on expanding EMEA diversity initiatives. On top of this, Mark is a board member of London Business School’s Eurout, Europe’s premier LGBTQ conference for students & professionals.

Under Peter’s leadership of Mercer’s LGBT+ inclusion group, Mercer Pride, Mercer won Gold in the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI). Other achievements as leader of Mercer Pride include removing barriers for reporting LGBT+ bullying and harassment, training HR and creation of a dedicated resource pool for HR colleagues. He introduced his Transitioning in the Workplace guide launched in 2017 in the Pacific to global chapter leaders for implementation. He reverse mentored a senior LBTQ+ woman to be an out role model and championed her to become their new executive sponsor. Peter is mentoring three diverse colleagues to succeed him as network co-chairs and looks forward to continuing to be involved in the group as New South Wales State Lead. Outside of the workplace, Peter is the CFO for non-profit Out for Australia.
Jonathan is the only trainee/junior lawyer on both the LGBT and Disability boards at Reed Smith. He works with the chairs to ensure LGBT staff, including disabled staff, have networks promoting visibility and acceptance. He has supported PRISM in external charity events, and ensured LGBT visibility at the Diversity Summit. Jonathan has supported LGBT equality profession-wide via the Law Society Equality Board as the youngest ever member. Jonathan was the first autistic LGBT+ person to address the UN, speaking on business and charity safeguarding disability rights, including LGBT+ people in countries where this is illegal.
As the Japan leader of EY Unity, EY’s LGBT+ professional network, Asako was instrumental in EY’s involvement at the launch event of “Tackling Discrimination against LGBTI People – Standards of Conduct for Business”, which was hosted by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Lawyers for LGBT and Allies Network, held in June 2018. This included leading a panel discussion as a moderator in the event. In addition, Asako played a leading role in the Japanese business community as a director of Good Aging Yells, whose mission is to nurture communities where LGBT+ people and non-LGBT+ people can connect. She had continued to get involved in “Work With Pride” as a judge to monitor the progress of the firms using the workplace equality index called “PRIDE Index” until she left Japan for Canada in August 2018. Ahead of her move to Canada, Asako had worked to develop and support her successors so that the PRIDE Index, awards, and conference continue to run successfully.
Eraldo is Co-Chair of Clifford Chance’s LGBT network, Arcus, proudly leading numerous initiatives which helped the firm reach 11th place in the 2018 Stonewall Equality Index. He regularly gives talks to Clifford Chance’s new and prospective joiners, mentors junior LGBT+ lawyers, and reverse-mentors the firm’s senior leaders on LGBT+ issues. His latest focus is on issues facing trans co-workers and building bridges with other communities, including the BAME network, and events marking LGBT History Month, IDAHOBT, National Coming Out Day, the “It Gets Better Campaign”, and Transgender Day of Remembrance. Externally, most notable is his ongoing pro bono work challenging the UK Government’s refusal to issue passports without a binary “male”/”female” categorisation, leading to the UK courts’ first legal recognition that human rights extend to non-gendered identity. Eraldo also gives pro bono advice to the Human Dignity Trust (a charity challenging anti-gay laws around the world), assisting with the legal strategy to challenge homophobic laws in Cameroon and making submissions to the UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights Defenders to help protect local lawyers who champion LGBT+ people and causes.

Ben is the Chair of Standard Chartered’s UK LGBT+ and Allies Network, which led to him being profiled on the Bank’s external and internal websites as a global advocate for change during IDAHOBIT 2018. Ben conceptualized the Bank’s new LGBT+ rainbow logo, under which colleagues marched in various global Pride parades. Ben has been awarded the Top 10 Corporate Rising Star in the 2018 British LGBT Awards, and continues to support and consult colleagues on diversity and inclusion initiatives globally across SC’s footprint. Ben is a dedicated volunteer with Hope for the Young, Surrogacy UK, and organizes awareness campaigns around trans* issues throughout the Bank in conjunction with groups like Mermaids. Ben is a proven leader and an absolute boon to the LGBT+ community.

Julia Atwater is co-founder and co-chair of Atos’ global LGBT+ and Allies network, AtosPride. She built the growing network of 1000 members in 29 countries, created the AtosPride ally program & enabled Atos to jump 145 places in the 2017 Stonewall Workplace Equality Index. Julia ensures D&I is integral to Atos strategy, working closely with HR, sales, bid and service delivery teams. Being an out role model, Julia is also active on Twitter, raising awareness of LGBT+ inclusion. She launched LGBT+ Reverse Mentoring at Atos, co-created the International Travels Guide for LGBT+ employees and launched the LGBT+ and Allies role model profile series. Julia plays rugby and involved her team in the Stonewall Rainbow laces campaign as well as leading the team in York Pride parade. She designed flyers and a banner stating the inclusiveness of the rugby club using the phrase ‘everyone is welcome’ and was recently asked to speak on BBC Radio York about the rugby team’s ethos of diversity and inclusion. Earlier this year she ran the Chester half marathon and raised £250 in aid of The Proud Trust LGBT youth charity.

Henry founded Eversheds Sutherland’s LGBT Diversity and Inclusion programme from scratch at the Hong Kong office, which includes an LGBT+ welcome kit to be distributed to all current staff and new joiners. He also organised trainings for all level of staff on gender recognition and innovative diversity and inclusion campaigns with guest speakers from HSBC and LUSH. In response to the Hong Kong Government’s public consultation on gender recognition, he formed an inter-disciplinary working group in collaboration with representatives of the transgender and intersex community and other key stakeholders, and published an educational outreach bilingual pamphlet, an educational video and organized forums to advocate for gender recognition legislation without surgical requirement. Henry is a board member of Compassion, a Hong Kong LGBT+ Catholic support group and a member of the Public Policy Committee of the HK Gay and Lesbian Attorney’s Network.

As chair of the employee resource group dbPride Americas, Jon directs many of Deutsche Bank’s efforts to ensure an inclusive workplace for Deutsche Bank’s LGBTQI employees. Under his leadership, participation in dbPride has grown 300% in two years and employees have reported feeling more comfortable being out at work. Jon has also spearheaded new hire welcome events to showcase Deutsche Bank’s inclusive ethos, and created ground-breaking events on the intersection of race, identity, trans* military service, immigration, surrogacy and adoption. He led Deutsche Bank’s participation in the NYC Pride March for three years and elevated engagement in Pride Month activities. Externally, Jon is co-chair of OPEN Finance, an effort across 48 financial services firms to share best practices, network and advocate for LGBTQI inclusive workplaces. He developed and launched the OPEN Finance Forum, a conference for LGBTQI leaders and allies now in its third year. Jon participated in the early drafting of the UN Free & Equal Standards and helped ensure its early adoption at Deutsche Bank. He was also a driving force behind Deutsche Bank’s senior involvement with incorporating LGBTQI into the World Economic Forum’s systems work.
Early Careers Talent Acquisition Manager
Louis leads Fidelity’s Global LGBT+ Action Group and is chair of Fidelity for Everyone’s Network as a role model for LGBT+ inclusion. Having established the Network in 2016, he gained support from allies and executive sponsors from the leadership team. Louis took the lead to review employee policies with HR and the company’s products with relevant parties to ensure LGBT+ inclusiveness. Louis developed Fidelity’s first ever LGBT+ ally training with specific Asia context covering 5 offices. He helped to secure sponsorships for community events to demonstrate the company’s commitment externally (Pink Dot, Queer Straight Alliance’s Inclusion Recruitment Conference, Pride Parade). As a member of the Hong Kong LGBT+ Interbank Forum, Louis serves on its Outreach working group. He mentors LGBT+ university students through QSA and participates as a speaker in external events.
Samantha is Chair of Pride@Marsh UK and also an Executive director of Trans*formation UK, a community group which undertake activities to end discrimination and promote the welfare of Trans* and non-binary people. Samantha successfully championed the introduction of Trans* inclusive health care benefits with MMC UK, whilst supporting the industry leading Mercer Transgender Healthcare provisions guidance. Samantha also developed the concept of the Marsh & McLennan Companies #InThisTogether an Intersectional Diversity event aimed at Engagement, Education and Empowerment focused on topics which looked to unbundle diversity, gender, race, disability, and mental health through discussion and understanding why these topics are still relevant today.

Annika leads the Pride@BCG Network in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Middle East. Within that role she is dedicated to promoting a LGBT+ friendly environment by providing people a safe place to come out and be themselves within the company as well as sensitize and inform non LGBT+ employees. Annika drives internal activities such as networking events, a mentorship and allies program as well as several internal marketing activities to broaden the awareness of LGBT+ within the company. Recently, she organized the Pride@BCG summit in Madrid with more than 100 BCG employees from all over Europe. Apart from her internal work, Annika implemented the survey “Out@Work” across Europe to understand the perceptions and expectations of LGBT+ talent in the corporate world. In addition, Annika co-authored a number of reports on the impact of corporate diversity. One of the latest reports “The Mix That Matters: Innovation Through Diversity” proves that management diversity drives innovation. It was broadly covered by renowned international media outlets such as Bloomberg, Forbes and Huffington Post. Moreover, Annika works with a School Foundation in Berlin to establish a more LGBT+ friendly environment in schools.
Em is a manager in Deloitte’s Human Capital practice, working with private sector organisations to help them navigate complex business change. She has been an active advocate for diversity and inclusion since the beginning of her career, and is one of four leads for Deloitte UK’s LGBT+ network, GLOBE. Em is a visible lesbian role model, and speaks publicly about the importance of LGBT+ inclusion. Recently, she has been increasing senior leadership engagement with the network through a series of client collaboration initiatives, increasing trans and non-binary inclusion at Deloitte both in the UK and overseas, and helping to enhance bi visibility and inclusion at Deloitte. She regularly collaborates with clients on LGBT+ best practice. Em is currently working overseas and as part of this is helping Deloitte determine what support is provided to globally mobile LGBT+ employees.
Esther is a senior associate in Dentons’ Contentious Construction team and has been recognised numerous times for her contributions to the LGBT+ community, and was a top-10 LGBT+ Corporate Rising Star at the British LGBT Awards. She is co-Chair of Dentons’ UK LGBT network, GLOW, and sits on the firm’s global LGBT committee. She is a founding member of the Law Society’s LGBT division and helped set up RoundabOUT. Esther goes above and beyond to promote awareness of LGBT+ in the legal profession and still manages to be one of the best construction litigators in the City – named as an “Associate to Watch” by Chambers & Partners in 2018.

Nicholas is on the Executive Committee for Citigroup’s Pride Network, and has initiated and secured senior sponsorship for the first ever LGBT+ insight evening. He regularly features on panels – most recently for Citigroup’s incoming analyst class talking about being out and how inclusion supports the bank. Nicholas is responsible for recruitment where he is pioneering new tailored buddy system for diverse applicants. Externally, he was profiled by the Financial Times in a feature on LGBT+ Recruitment in January 2018 and he has been featured by Inside & Out. He also represented the bank at EurOUT and as a panelist at the LGBT+ Leaders event to over 400 students. He leads Citigroup’s relationships with key university LGBT+ networks and is a Research Assistant at London Business School where he is researching how the Corporate Equality Index (LGBT+) affects firm strategy.
Founder of Hduarte Legål and Fundación Igualitxs, Herman is focused on eradicating discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. He has organized and spoken at more than 60 conferences in 2 continents, covering over 13 countries, on the rights of the LGBT+ community. He has debated on national TV with the presidential front runner- anti gay- Fabricio Alvarado, has organized and successfully launched campaigns for “all the families”, and was recently awarded the prize of “Inspirational lawyer for promoting equal opportunities in the LGBT+ community” by Chambers and Partners, an award given only once. In November, Herman is launching his first book on the subject of discrimination, freedom of expression and religious freedom, which will feature different launch events aimed at academia, private/public sector organisations, and diplomatic organisations. He has over 60 op ed articles in over 10 different newspapers/magazines and 9 books in co-authorship. At 30, he is a board member of the Rule of Law Alliance, Costarican Association of Procedural Law and officer of the Human Rights Committee of the International Bar Association.
Epstein Rosenblum Maoz (ERM)
In 2016, Jeremy conceived of and founded the Israel Diversity Standard, a volunteer-run benchmark for LGBT+ inclusivity in Israeli workplaces. The IDS encourages companies publicly to support their LGBT+ colleagues, highlight LGBT+ role models and allies, and creates a forum for shared resources on LGBT+ issues. The IDS has a fast-growing membership, with member companies (including Jeremy’s law firm ERM) employing over 20,000 people in Israel between them – an almost 100% increase in the last year. In addition to coordinating the Israel Diversity Standard’s activities, Jeremy is a director volunteer with LGBTech, a professional network for LGBT+ people in Israel.
As Deputy Chair of Breathe (KPMG’s LGBT network) and contributor to I&D initiatives within the firm’s Consulting practice, Manuel has led the organisation of various internal and client facing events in the Breathe and wider I&D space, while contributing to the development of KPMG’s I&D strategy and engagement with key stakeholders. Recently Manuel organised a first of its kind event for KPMG’s executive clients in the Consumer sector, to discuss LGBT topics and the role of executive leadership in promoting a more inclusive environment; the intention is for this group to continue to meet. At Schroders, Rafael helps steer the LGBT+ network’s activity, including their work with EurOUT, Europe’s biggest MBA LGBT+ conference. Rafael was instrumental to Schroders submitting their first Stonewall WEI entry, and planning Schroders’ first Pride march in London. On top of this, Rafael also recognises the importance of engaging senior leaders in LGBT+ inclusion, so organised a senior managers’ allies breakfast. He is an advocate for inclusion, diversity and equality inside and outside of Dow, and was named one of Dow’s 2018 Champions of Inclusion. In the past year, Valente presented the business case for I&D at several events, including a media event in Detroit, Michigan alongside HRC’s Chad Griffin to reinforce Dow’s commitment to the Federal Equality Act. Amanda conceived an ongoing collaboration with J.P. Morgan’s Disability Business Resource Group to deliver fully inclusive workplace facilities. In July 2018, she delivered 46 “all gender, all abilities” restrooms in our main UK office at Bank Street in Canary Wharf. Amanda devised and regularly delivers a classroom-based Transgender 101 course aimed at increasing understanding and awareness of life for our transgender employees and the diversity of their community. Amanda constructed and currently chairs an Employee Transgender Working Group in EMEA. She specified a revised set of employee Self ID questions that separates the T from LGB and importantly adds gender expression alongside gender identity. Amanda is a member of South London transgender group TransPALS, transgender professionals group Transformation, the OUTstanding Trans Working Group, the London Bisexual Network and Out and Equal Bisexual Advisory Group.

Christon is a UK board lead for glamazon (Amazon’s internal LGBT+ affinity group), recently pushing corporate boundaries by including their preference for gender-neutral pronouns in their email signature, encouraging others to follow suit. Christon led Amazon’s hosting of the first ever London summit for Lesbians Who Tech, setting a precedent to meet the needs of the gender diverse attendee base by providing gender neutral bathrooms for the first time. Christon has a history of dedication towards LGBT+ issues; through volunteering as a London Director for Lesbians Who Tech, founding the Gender Equality Society at Leeds Beckett University and working in the press office for San Diego Pride. Christon mentors multiple LGBT+ young professionals, has been shortlisted for Women In Data’s Twenty in Data & Technology awards and has contributed to articles in DIVA, Gay Times and Data IQ.

In January 2017 Aoife became the first person in Mastercard globally to transition in the workplace. Since then, she has given talks to Mastercard’s Dublin office and subsequently their St. Louis office about bringing your true self to work. In June 2017, Aoife also spoke at Mastercard’s Global Inclusion Summit in New York about what it meant for her to be accepted by her colleagues. This year, Aoife was appointed co-lead for Mastercard’s Dublin PRIDE Business Resource Group. Based on her experience of Transitioning, she worked through our PRIDE BRG with our HR and Diversity Office to get Transitioning Guides for Employees and HR/Managers published and help in Mastercard as a Trans inclusive employer.
Bruna is the UK Lead for OUT@In , LinkedIn’s LGBT+ employee resource group, where she has led efforts at London Pride, participated in videos sharing her story paving the path for others, amongst many more. She has taken on the role both a mentor and a mentee with OUTstanding, and rolled this initiative globally at LinkedIn. Bruna works with Career Accelerator, Change100 and BIG Alliance as a diverse role model in business, mentoring and running multiple sessions with talented students from diverse backgrounds to inspire them. Finally, she hosts sessions with Career Accelerator to demonstrate a female, LGBT+ role-model in Tech for underprivileged youth.

Clare is co-chair for Citi’s Pride Network in London and additionally serves as the ‘B’ representative, providing a visible bisexual senior role model in the organisation, profiled on Citi’s internal website and listed as the bisexual representative for confidential support. She speaks regularly at internal and external events on LGBT+ inclusion and the importance of allies. Outside of Citi, Clare is an ambassador for the LGBT+ anti-bullying charity Diversity Role Models, having also previously volunteered as a role model and as a facilitator, delivering workshops in schools to challenge stereotypes and educate young people about difference. On top of this, Clare was Stonewall’s 2018 UK Bi Role Model of the Year as part of their annual Workplace Equality Index.

Alongside his role as Account Protection Specialist in American Express’ Global Fraud Protection Services, Darren is the Events workstream lead of the Sussex chapter of PRIDE UK. In this role, Darren launched Pride Coffee Club, a monthly informal meeting for network members, where they discuss topics such as LGBTQ Role Models, GBTQ Families or LGBTQ in TV. Darren has also been part of the PRIDE UK Sussex University Mentoring scheme and has been a role model for his mentee, by giving him advice on professional as well as personal development. Darren was also awarded the American Express ‘Diversity Champion Award’ in 2017, receiving more nominations from across the organisation than any other winners.
Jesus is the Founder and Chair of the Pride Network chapter Mexico, Nike’s first non-Global, non-European LGBT+ Network. This lead to Nike’s participation for the very first time in the Mexico City Pride Parade. Outside of Nike, Jesus has participated in different forums oriented to support our community. He attended Stanford University’s LGBTQ Executive Leadership Program to better understand how he can help and guide his peers towards a more inclusive workplace.

Laura was the founding member of the Johnson & Johnson LGBT+ network, Open&Out, in the UK. She co-leads the UK chapter and is a member of the EMEA network Leadership Team. Laura has also been instrumental in delivering the first-ever EMEA Open&Out summit, offering an important opportunity for colleagues across the region to engage, learn and improve inclusivity, even in more challenging countries. Externally, Laura has volunteered at Outline Surrey as an advisor for LGBT+ people needing support.
Michael has taken on various leadership positions in Goldman Sachs’ Hong Kong LGBT+ network and currently serves as co-head of the network. To raise awareness in the workplace and increase engagement level of employees in LGBT+ space, in the past year, Michael led, advised and organized close to 10 internal and external LGBT+ related events across Asia Pacific, which resulted in 105% increase in network membership in a year. Serving on the LGBT+ interbank group presenting multinational banks in Hong Kong, he has also helped several Hong Kong companies launch their own LGBT+ networks. Michael mentors and coaches LGBT+ and ally employees on related topics, and has spoken at a number of public events on the importance of LGBT+ inclusion, his personal experience as an out individual and the concept of role modelling.

Joshua was a founding member of the Pride@Lloyd’s, the LGBT+ resource group at Lloyd’s of London, and served as the Chairman for four years. Joshua has been invited to participate in the DiverCity podcast to talk about diversity and inclusion initiatives across the insurance sector and have also been invited to speak at industry events about the importance of diversity and inclusion. This year, Joshua worked with his rugby club to invite the first LGBT+ rugby team to a friendly at their grounds.

They have held several panel events raising awareness around the trans* space, bisexuality and adoption, with several more in plan. TJ is also a trustee at Q:alliance, the only LGBTQ+ focused charity in Milton Keynes, where her primary role is to ensure that the actions of the charity are in line with its stated objectives.

Tlotlo is a One Young World Ambassador who is passionate about LGBT rights and is actively involved in Open For Business, a business coalition aimed at promoting global LGBT inclusion. As the LGBT+ Lead for the South and Wales region of Lloyds Banking Group’s LGBT+ Network, Anthony created the first internal LGBT+ and ally role model list at LBG to help provide all LGBT+ colleagues with role models. Anthony has coached and mentored LGBT+ individuals both inside and outside of work, and his intranet blogs receive huge acclaim for his generosity in sharing his personal story about being LGBT+ and BAME. He is also the LGBT+ lead within the Group Transformation Division which is home to c.18,000 colleagues. Anthony was instrumental in the Group’s participation in UK Black Pride 2017 & 2018, with 2017 being the first time the Group supported the event. He has played a key part in a number of charity initiatives since joining the Group and has helped to raise over £20,000 for a whole range of charities.

Celine is the Senior Advisor to the co-chairs of HSBC’s Pride Employee Resource Group, and has an impressive track record either establishing or leading internal Pride networks in every organisation she has worked. She was the Fund Raiser on the first Pink Dot Hong Kong Committee in 2014 which imported the Pink Dot movement into Hong Kong; Vice-chair of OutRunners HK, and co-chair of the HK LGBT+ Interbank Forum 2016-2017 which supported the landmark Hong Kong case for same sex spousal visa which passed in July 2018. Celine is the founder and lead for “LIF” (Lesbians in Finance, pronounced as “lift”) which is the largest forum in Asia for queer women and their allies in the financial services sector and aims to uplift females into positions of leadership in their careers.

David is one of the founding committee members of MPride, Metro Bank’s LGBT+ network. He has taken a key role including organising a Trans in the workplace session at MFest 2017, taking the lead on their Spring Event, Diversity within Diversity, which explored the less understood elements of LGBTQI+, and he helped shape Metro Bank’s ‘Supporting Trans and Non-Binary Customers’ policy which has now been rolled out across the bank. He also ran a series of educational LGBT+ focused articles during key days in the LGBT calendar. Externally, at Basildon Council in his role as councillor, he worked with the LGBTQI+ group and the CEO to put in place Gender Neutral Toilets on all floors of the main offices and in leisure centres. He recently supported the LGBT+ community during a series of hate incidents; reporting the crimes, debating one of the perpetrators on BBC Radio Essex and personally highlighting the situation in local newspapers. As a result, he arranged the first every Basildon Mini Pride. David is a regular speaker on LGBT+ inclusion, and has been invited to speak at Stonewall’s Manchester Conference in September on the topic of how employers can support LGBT+ BAME employees better.
